The hardwood plywood and veneer industry

The Hardwood Forestry Fund is an organization dedicated to protecting our forests and planting ten trees for every tree consumed. The organization has helped to plant more than 4 million trees since its founding in 1990. These trees have been planted in 279 projects across 30 U.S. states and four foreign countries, using commercially valuable hardwood species. Hardwood forests are one of the most important natural resources on Earth, so helping to protect them is an important social and environmental responsibility.

The hardwood playwood and veneer industy  is growing, but there are still many concerns over the environmental impact of wood products. Hardwood Plywood and Veneer Association and Hardwood Forestry Fund are two trade groups whose mission is to promote sustainable forestry practices and promote the beauty and sustainability of timber. The association promotes sustainable timber by developing modern educational campaigns that incorporate digital tools. The group believes that conveying these messages is vital in shaping consumer purchasing trends.

The nonprofit Hardwood Plywood & Veneers Association has an active program that educates the public about the environmental impact of the forest products industry. The organization’s mission is to protect the forests of America. Its Hardwood Forestry Fund program has successfully planted over 4.5 million trees in 22 states and four countries, while also awarding more than $1,353,000 in grants and planting seven million acres. The organization also encourages responsible forest management by fostering partnerships with extension agencies, universities, and natural resource organizations. To date, more than 200 projects have been sponsored through the Hardwood Forestry Fund. Since its inception, more than 3.7 million trees have been planted through these partnerships.
